Is my job too small?
No. Small is the specialty. The two-hour minimum is there so the trip makes sense for both of us, and the half-day and list-day rates are built for piles of small jobs.
Do you do plumbing and electrical?
The small swaps, yes: faucets, toilets' guts, light fixtures, ceiling fans. Anything that needs a permit or a licensed trade, I'll say so up front and refer you to someone I'd hire myself.
Do I need to be home?
For the first walk-through, yes (or we do it over photos). After that, plenty of folks leave a key. I'm the only one who ever comes through your door, and I'm insured on every job.
What if the job runs long?
The quote is the price. If I misjudged, that's on me. If you add jobs while I'm there, I'll tell you what they do to the total before I start them.
My house is older than 1978. Any lead-paint concerns?
It's the norm in Jamestown, so I work lead-safe: containment, wet scraping, HEPA cleanup. If a job is big enough to need a certified abatement crew, I'll say so.
How soon can you come?
You'll hear back the same day. Half days are usually open within a week, and list days within two. Emergencies, like a door that won't latch or a railing that's gone, go to the front of the line.
